Join ABSF as either a skier or a guide. Or just become a member to volunteer or even just as a friend/family.
Membership
ABSF annual memberships are available for individuals and families.
ABSF enables blind and visually impaired individuals to ski and snowboard with qualified guides at a variety of ski areas throughout the ski season. Blind and visually impaired skiers/snowboarders, of varying levels of experience, work with guides so that they can enjoy a fascinating winter sport. Sighted guides ski in front of or behind visually impaired skiers so that they can assist their skier traverse slopes of differing degrees of difficulty.
Whether you want to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time or are experienced and looking for volunteers to guide you, take the step to join ABSF. People interested in learning to guide, or experienced guides are always welcome. Membership benefits include discounts on lift tickets, equipment rental, lodging and transportation.
An annual clinic is sponsored by ABSF for guides, skiers and snowboarders, both experienced and new to the organization.
This clinic is scheduled each year as the first ski event for the season. Check the schedule of events for this information.
The fun really starts when everyone gets out on the slopes. ABSF sponsors numerous day trips to Wilmot Mountain and Alpine Valley. There are also weekend trips to other local ski resorts. The foundation also holds one western trip in the spring of each year.
The annual membership fee for individuals is $25 ($20 if paid by annual subscription). Annual family memberships are only $40 ($35 if paid by annual subscription). To become a member or to have your entire family become members, please do ONE of the following: 1. purchase the appropriate membership online using the links below OR 2. download and fill out the membership form(s), make a check payable to ABSF in the appropriate amount and return it to the address indicated on the form. Each returning and new member MUST fill out a liability waiver before participating in ABSF events.

If you would like to download a copy of the membership form or waiver, you can do so towards the bottom of the page. If you paid cash and would like to fill out a membership form online, you can also fill out the form below and indicate cash payment in notes.
